Ingredients
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat the Cream: In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Do not let it boil.
Add the Cream Cheese and Butter: Add the cream cheese and butter to the saucepan, stirring continuously until they are fully melted and incorporated into the cream.
Incorporate the Cheddar Cheese: Gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese, a little at a time, stirring continuously until all the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
Add Seasonings: Stir in the Dijon mustard (if using), garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer and Thicken: Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.

Tips
