Keto Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)

  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  3. Incorporate the Cheddar Cheese: Gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese, a little at a time, stirring continuously until all the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

  4. Add Seasonings: Stir in the Dijon mustard (if using), garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Simmer and Thicken: Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.

  6. Serve: Remove the sauce from the heat and serve immediately. It pairs well with steamed vegetables, grilled meats, or as a dip for keto-friendly snacks.

Tips

  • If the sauce becomes too thick, you can thin it out with a little more heavy cream or some unsweetened almond milk.
