Keto Parmesan Crisps

Parmesan Crisps are a delicious and easy-to-make low-carb snack. They taste great on their own, or in a Caesar salad!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (or any other type of hard cheese)

  • Optional: 1 tbsp seasoning of choice (e.g., everything bagel seasoning, paprika, Italian seasoning, ranch seasoning, ground black pepper)

You may be able to use a softer cheese for this recipe, but I have not tried this myself.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Prepare the Parmesan: If not pre-shredded, shred or grate 1 cup of Parmesan cheese.

  3. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  4. Form Cheese Piles: Take about 2 tablespoons of shredded Parmesan cheese and form a small pile on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining cheese, ensuring you leave space between each pile for spreading. You should have around 8 piles in total.

  5. Bake the Crisps: Bake in the preheated oven for 5-8 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese has melted into crisp rounds.

  6. Season the Crisps: While the crisps are still hot and soft, sprinkle your chosen seasoning(s) over the top.

  7. Cool and Harden: Allow the crisps to cool on the baking sheet. They will harden as they cool.

  8. Serve: Once fully cooled and hardened, enjoy your Parmesan crisps as a snack, or use them to add a crunchy element to a Caesar salad.

Notes

  • Feel free to mix and match seasonings to suit your taste.

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container to maintain their crispness.
